COMMUNITY RELATION INITIATIVE: Las Vegas Royals and Salvation Army Team Up to Help Local Homeless

Today the Royals announced a new community relation initiative called the Royals Family Initiative: a partnership with Salvation Army to combat homelessness in the Las Vegas area. The Royals Family Initiative will collect lightly-used clothing donations from fans in exchange for a Royals-Salvation Army limited edition beanie and 5% off select items from the team store for every bag of clothes donated.

Fans can donate in person at Allegiant Stadium or sign up for donation home pick-up on the Royals website. Royals representatives will be sent to collect donations from fans' front doors. These donations will be brought to a Salvation Army pop-up event held in the Allegiant Stadium lot B on the first Saturday of every month.

These pop-up events will feature catering from local food trucks. Members of the local homeless population will be invited to eat, shop from the donation tent, and receive haircuts from local barbers- all paid for by the Royals organization. Leftover clothes will be stored until the next month’s pop-up.

For those interested in home donation pick-up, registration is now open on LasVegasRoyals.com/SalvationArmy/Donate-register
